Please join us for a deep dive into Restorative Justice mindsets and practices! Connect with colleagues from across the region who, like you, want to support their community to cultivate relationships and deal with conflict. Whether you’ve just learned about Restorative Justice or are responsible for leading restorative initiatives, all levels of learners will be engaged and challenged.
Umoja’s Summer Institute is two days packed with experiential activities, opportunities for individual reflection, and lots of time for practice. Our objective is to ensure that you feel ready to start the school year with a practical toolkit of RJ strategies to connect with students and adults in new ways and repair relationships after conflict. Together, we’ll:
- Explore relationships, community, and conflict through the lens of Restorative Justice
- Understand how a variety of social and emotional factors, including social identity, impact our responses to others
- Learn proactive and responsive restorative practices to prevent and address harm
